Download & Import of source code and Shared Resource in Activator
This guide will show you how to download the source code & shared resources for a given binder or individual slide from within Activator.
OBS: For further instructions for content developers on how to work with the shared resource we refer you to our much more extensive guide in the Activator - For Content Developers section.
Step 1: Find the binder or slide you wish to download the source code and shared resource from. In the example below, we are looking at a binder with slides in list view. The top ellipsis icon will open an information tab for the entire binder and the ellipsis icons under are for each individual slide.

Step 2: Once the information tab is open go to "Advanced Options" and click on "Export Binder". The system will let you know that the file is being prepared. Once it is ready, you can download it to your computer as a zip file.

Step 3: Extract the zip file and open the file where all code for this project is included. The shared resources are inside the "shared" folder and can be used to create new shared resources or update existing ones.

Step 4: After you have made updated to the shared resource, you can create a zip archive and upload it to Activator simply by dragging and dropping it. However, if you have made any changes in the src/ folder, or if the /dist folder is missing, you should first compile the source code.

You may receive up to three options of how Activator should handle it:
Update the current shared resource (if you are currently working on content)
Update an existing shared resource (browse to find the one to update)
Create a new shared resource
As a final note, the above function may be useful if you need to share the entire or part of a project with someone, but generally we recommend a high level of coding experience if the goal is to alter the project in which case we again refer you to our more comprehensive guide in the Activator - For Content Developers article section.
