Introduction

1.10.1 is a patch release fixing issues and providing some overall improvements. This document describes the tickets included in the release

Features

Resolution targets

Users now has the option to set resolution target for content so that Activator can display content targeting iPad Pros (and other horizontal aspect ratios). If no target is available, or list empty, then it defaults targets 1024x768 px (aspect ratio 4:3).

Improvements

Disable editing while publishing

When publishing a document (slide or email) it shouldn't be possible to edit the document. This has been improved, so during publish of document, edit button is disabled. If in editor mode and document is published (after confirm in dialog), document go to preview mode.

Display in Activator, only the content created within the tool

Users are now able to access on the Filter panel a toggle where they can select to filter between Activator Only content and other content that is not editable (such as HTML).

Update metadata in binders

Activator is already saving metadata in the binders, once configured it will be shown, but the below fields are not being updated correctly. This has been improved, so whenever slides are added/removed/reordered metadata is updated.

Update old training/demo presentation

Training/demo presentation has been improved, so it is up to date and compatible with Activator 1.10.0.

Show error logs on shared upgrade

If e.g. there is an error while upgrading the shared resource, the user only receive error 500 message. This has been improved so the user receives the full error log.

Fixes

Wrong slide order in presentation

When a binder was exported from Activator, this could generate wrong slides order in a presentation and differ with the order of slides in the binder in Activator. This is fixed.

Renamed Slide not reflected in binder

When going to the slide preview, and renaming the slide, it will now be renamed in meta data and breadcrumbs (but not in the binder overview).

Delayed vertical aligning

When changing vertical aligning in email columns, the changes did not take effect immediately but only after the user did some actions, e.g. selects one of the columns or section. This is fixed, so all vertical aligning changes takes effect immediately without additional user action.

Slides marked as "Shared Resource" breaks presentation

When user copied a Binder and the original slides where set as Shared Resources=“Yes” and user did not set the slides to Shared Resource=“no” when the user saves a copy of the slides, then, when user tried to correct the mistake by going in and setting the Shared Resources to “No”, the presentation could break. This has been fixed.

Compare & Translate" option always compares to v1.0 of slide

Activator "Compare & Translate" option did not show the document version user assumed her or she where comparing with correctly. It always compares with a 1.0 version. Now Activator compares to the latest version of related document (basedOn → originalSource) if available. And compares to latest version of current document if there is no relationship to other document.

Ampersand in URL breaks XLIFF translation

Xliff translation did not support url which contains & character. This has been fixed.

Ugly label for non-editable content with states

The label is messed up when user has non-editable content with states. Before user experienced one letter width of label 'HTML (non-editable)' tag. Now label is in one row in all cases.

Round corners on buttons not working for Outlook on Windows

Round corners on buttons was not working for Outlook on Windows. This has been fixed.

Font list scroll

Email font list can be scrolled down but can't be scrolled up. This has now been fixed, so Email font list can be scrolled both sides.

Vault search display description instead of name

When using the search bar, the Vault search result list document descriptions instead of document names. This has been fixed, so Vault search result output name.

"hidden-on-mobile" was not working properly

The functionality "hidden-on-mobile" for Images was not working properly. The images where hidden on mobile, but left big space. This has been fixed.

ScaleToFit fix destroys formatting on iPad PRO 12.9"

Some text currently scales differently than other, meaning the slide layout is messy compared to the original design. This has been fixed, so text is scaled normally so that original design and ratio-scale of objects and material is kept.

Activ. Presentation preview, actual slides preview, PDF production report images do not match

The presentation preview, actual slides preview, PDF report images do not align. This has been fixed.

PDF report not created even if all slides are published

Even if all slides have a green checkmark for "uploadet to Vault" the PDF won’t generate for the binder. This has been fixed.

Report buttons not working.

When clicking on Report buttons, nothing happens. This has been fixed, so clicking on Report buttons generates production and develop reports.
