Introduction

1.10.2 is a patch release fixing issues and providing some overall improvements.

Improvements

Improvement to Font-family editing, removal and resetting

As an Activator Editor user, while working on a Slide you are now able to remove the font-family setting on a component. Previously when resetting a font-family, it was reset to 'Helvetica, Arial sans-serif'. The improvement removes the font-family from the element so that it inherits the setting of the parent component (e. g. slide element, browser).

Improvement to Shared Resource and how Assets are handled

Previously, if an Activator User cleared the shared/assets folder, certain components would be broken. We have improved this by moving default components images to component folders – by doing this we ensure that standard components are stable even after clearing the shared/assets folder.

Changes and Improvements done to Activator Dialogue and information popups

We've improved popups and dialogue with a more descriptive and guiding text for the Activator Popup menus. As an example, previously when an Autoupgrade of a Shared Resource failed the original text was: “Shared Resource could not be upgraded due to changes in some of the files. Click to download the log file”. This has been improved to: "Shared Resource could not be upgraded due to changes in some of the files. Manual upgrade is necessary. See the log file for which files have been changed. Click to download the log file".

Component and text scaling improvements for larger devices

For users with larger iPads (for example iPad Pro 11/12) components and text scaling has been improved to now correctly scale based on the screen ratio of the device.

NOTE: For the slides to display correctly on larger devices, the “iOS Resolution” MetaData property in Veeva Vault must be set to "Default For Device" for each slide.

Video scaling improvements for larger devices

For users with larger iPads (for example iPad Pro 11/12) the Video component, including Video controls and behavior, now correctly scale based on the screen ratio of the device.

NOTE: For the slides to display correctly on larger devices, the “iOS Resolution” MetaData property in Veeva Vault must be set to "Default For Device" for each slide.

Binder reports have been improved. Two Report types are now available
This improvement introduces two types of reports that users can generate for binders:

  1. “Generate from Vault Reports” which creates a report based on the material published and available in Veeva Vault.

  2. “Generate from Activator Reports” which creates a report based on the work-in-progress material available in Activator that has not yet been published.

Fixes

Activator search field results improvements

Previously when a user performed a search for binders/documents in Activator the user did not receive the same results as a search for the same keywords in PromoMats. The user also only received partial results in Activator. The search method for Activator has been improved and changed to mimic the search methods in Vault to ensure a closer match in search results.

Approved Email preview optimization

Users experienced that, with Approved Emails, full preview mode had components/objects looking differently than the normal preview/editor mode in Activator because they wrongly defaulted to percentage valuesThis has been fixed so the normal preview/editor mode reflects correctly in Full preview mode.

Fixes to border visualization properties for different email providers

Border properties did not work correct across mail clients. A fix has been implemented to unify the visualization of border properties for email providers that support this.

Fix to opacity usage for background images

A change has been implemented to fix an issue where the background image for a component would still be 100% visible even if the opacity for the background image was changed.

Autoplay of Video Components fixed

The Autoplay feature for Video Components did not work when toggled to "yes". It failed for preview in Activator and for the QR code link opened on a cellular phone. A fix has been implemented so that the Autoplay feature now correctly works when toggled to “yes” in the attribute menu.

Full preview fixed for borders and buttons

An issue has been fixed where a user would open the “Full preview”, and buttons would appear without borders and not correctly placed as stated in the editor view.

Bottom navigation menu fixed for Shared Resources

The “Bottom Menu” component in the Shared Resource did not correctly show binder options for selection. Users where unable to choose related binders from the dropdown menu.

Bottom navigation menu fixed for copied eDetailers

The component "Bottom Menu" in the Shared Resource did not give the option to choose a binder if the Binder/Slide/Shared Resource was copied from a "master presentation".

Language setting for XLIFF files fixed

When a user created an XLIFF file from Activator, the output file would always default to the target language as "de-DE". We fixed this by creating a pop-up window, that would let the user select the target language.

Coding for brackets in XLIFF files optimized

If text on a slide text would be surrounded by certain brackets “<” and “>”, the XLIFF file read this as code and replaces the brackets with %3C and %3E. If text on a slide or email has these brackets an information message will show notifying the user: “Text wrapped in <> isn’t supported as it can be misinterpreted as an HTML tag. Text within the brackets will not be included when applying the translation in Activator. User can use other brackets in text, e.g. [ ].

Full preview mode fixed for the “Button” component for emails

Users experienced the width of the “Button” component looked different in Edit mode compared to Full Preview mode. This has been optimized so the two views correctly match again.

Fixed issue for Background images using spaces in their document name

A change was implemented to fix an issue with background images not correctly being added to the document if they had a space in their document name.

Fixed issue where videos in documents would show as Images in Vault

Video components in content was not rendering correctly in Vault and showed up as images. This implemented fix ensures that Videos render correctly in vault and can be previewed.

Updates of Shared Resources after adding new menu item fixed

Users experienced issues with the “update” and “add new item” buttons after adding a new menu point in the Shared Resource. This implemented change fixes the buttons to again be available after adding the menu point.

Fixed issue when publishing an older version of a Shared Resource

Users experienced Shared Resources where broken after selecting a previous version in bottom panel, changing colors and publishing. This has been fixed, so the Shared Resource is published and displays new version correctly.

CLM Insight tracking fixed

CLM insights tracking was not working as intended. This has been fixed, so CLM insights is correctly tracked via clickstream (optionally).

Compare mode did not show correct versions of Approved Emails

Side-by-side and toggle views for Compare mode and translate did not load the Approved Email, or versions of Approved Emails, correctly. This has been fixed, and user can again see the document side by side.
